More Than Just a Handyman
The name might say Flatpack & Handyman, but these days our work covers considerably more.
What started with flatpack assembly and everyday household jobs has developed into a much broader range of joinery, installation and property improvement work. From made-to-fit shelving, doors and staircases to kitchens, wardrobes, fencing, decking and ongoing property maintenance, no two weeks tend to look quite the same.
Some customers come to us with one specific job. Others have a list of things they’d like tackling at the same time, while businesses and landlords use us for ongoing maintenance as and when jobs crop up.
Below you’ll find an overview of the main services we offer, but it isn’t an exhaustive list. If you can’t see your job listed, get in touch and tell us what you need — we’ll let you know if it’s something we can help with.
What We Do
Property Maintenance
Those jobs around a property have a habit of building up. We can take care of individual repairs or work through a whole list in one visit, as well as providing ongoing maintenance for landlords and local businesses.
Services include: general household repairs, locks and handles, gutter repairs and cleaning, draught proofing, decorating, minor plumbing jobs such as replacing taps, exterior repairs, fixtures and fittings, and general property maintenance.
We also work with commercial clients and managed properties, providing ongoing maintenance when jobs arise.
Joinery
From practical repairs to completely bespoke pieces, we undertake a wide range of joinery work around the home and garden. Whether you need something replacing, repairing or made specifically to fit your space, we can help find a practical solution.
Services include: internal doors and door frames, skirting boards and architraves, staircases and oak finishing parts, handrails, bespoke shelving, fitted storage, gates, timber repairs and other made-to-measure joinery.
Flatpack & Installation
Flatpack is where York Flatpack & Handyman began, and it's still very much part of what we do — although the projects have become considerably bigger over the years!
From a single piece of furniture to full bedroom installations, we can assemble, position and securely install furniture so it's ready to use without the frustration of deciphering the instructions yourself.
Services include: wardrobes, beds, drawers, desks, entertainment units, IKEA PAX systems, Wren bedroom furniture, shelving, curtain poles and tracks, TV mounting and other household installations.
Kitchens & Home Improvements
For customers looking to tackle something bigger, we also undertake a range of home improvement projects. These can involve several different elements of work, meaning you don't necessarily need to organise multiple people to get the job finished.
Projects include: kitchen installation, worktops, flooring, media walls, boot rooms, bedroom installations, fitted storage and other home improvement projects.
Outdoor Projects
We're not limited to inside the house either. We undertake a variety of practical repairs and improvement work outside, from repairs and maintenance through to larger installations.
Services include: timber and composite decking, fencing, gates, exterior painting, guttering, outdoor lighting and general exterior repairs and maintenance.
Can't See What You Need?
This isn't an exhaustive list. Richard's job list tends to be rather varied, so if you have something in mind that isn't shown above, send us a few details or photos and we'll let you know if it's something we can help with.
