York Flatpack & Handyman started by Richard with a simple aim - to provide reliable, honest workmanship and a service people could genuinely trust. What began with flatpack assembly and smaller handyman jobs has grown over the years into a busy family run business covering joinery, property maintenance, installations and larger home improvement projects across York and the surrounding areas.

Richard has always been a hands on person with a real attention for detail. Whether he’s fitting a kitchen, building bespoke storage, hanging a door or sorting one of those little jobs that’s been on the list for months, the same care goes into every job. If something isn’t right, he isn’t happy to leave it that way.

Today York Flatpack & Handyman is still very much a small family business. Richard is out doing what he does best, supported by Carl on tools and Andrea behind the scenes. We’ve grown through recommendations, repeat customers and local businesses trusting us with their properties - something we are incredibly proud of.

We’re not a big faceless company. When you contact us, you’re dealing with a local team who care about the work we do, turn up when we say we will, respect your home and pay attention to the finishing touches.
